Spotlight: Jinni Touchstone, Manager of Client Relations

Jinni Touchstone
Manager of Client Relations
A Cultural Affair

Habla poco español. Quiere hablar francés y alemán.

She speaks a little Spanish. She wants to learn French and German, too. Oh, and her degree is in International Business.

Jinni Touchstone, Manager of Client Relations, is driven to help and teach people on both a personal and professional level. And she’s willing to do what it takes to make that happen.

Travel
Her love of culture began as a child. Jinni’s parents gave her the freedom to experience art, music, theatre – and perhaps most importantly – travel. Upon graduating high school, Jinni immersed herself in culture by traveling to distant and unique destinations.

“I found it really interesting and fun to see the different cultures in the world,” she said.

Executive Decisions
Culture affected her college decision, too. After travelling to Spain as a high school volleyball player, Jinni decided to major in International Business because she thought it would be fun to explore the ways other countries operate in the business world.

Upon retiring, Jinni plans to combine her love of people and culture and join the Peace Corps . She’s open to going anywhere – Samoa, Eastern Europe, Africa or South America. “The way I see it, we’re all here to give back,” she said. “This experience would be life changing.”

The Purpose
In the meantime, Jinni volunteers locally with her church and other organizations, and of course, she helps First American’s partners who are looking to grow their businesses.

“I like helping and teaching people,” she said. “Eliminating obstacles for my partners and my employees is awesome. I love to see the employees here grow, which translates into our sales offices growing as well.”

Career Woman
Jinni became an employee at First American seven years ago after applying for a marketing position. (It’s worth a mention that Jinni is a writer, in addition to her many other talents.)

She has definitely learned the ropes at First American, having served in different capacities and departments. The company is completely different than when she started, she said, noting that the size and scope are the most obvious differences. “We’re moving in a really good direction,” she said.
